Brothers Angus James and Oliver James formed The Death Of Pop on the south-coast of England in2013. Their home-produced songs reflected the dismal summers and repulsive sea breeze of a forgotten seaside wonderland; recreating these thoughts through a broken mirror of 90’s shoegaze and 80’s new wave. The duo have perfected their timeless pop in a dreamier vein with their new album‘Seconds’ due on March 19th.
Since their formation, the band have worked with Art is Hard Records, Too Pure, Hidden Bay Records (FR) and Discos de Kirlian (ES). FFO Chris Cohen, XTC, Stereolab, The Radio Dept.

Remember how Bill Murray woke up to I Got You Babe every day in Groundhog Day? If that song would have been Made Of Moods, he at the very least experienced three and a half perfect minutes each day. It’s one of those songs that I enjoy each and every second of, with it’s jangly guitars and hushed vocals that almost have a Beach Boys vibe, especially in the verse. Truly, it’s a song for the ages.
