Distress, it hits you like a flood
After weeks of only feeling numb
Your mind plays over and over and over and over
The things that she's become
There's the things she can't forget
She plays them over in her head while looking stunned
So lay low, whisper don't shout
She won't see you, let yourself out
But oh no, you fell, you fell
You thought that her body was a wishing well
It rips, it's ripping into you
As she grips, she grips a hold of you
She's crying "save me, save me, save me, save me
Save me and save me soon"
Save me from the threat
Save me from any thread of something new
So lay low, whisper don't shout
She won't see you, let yourself out
But oh no, you fell, you fell
You thought that her body was a wishing well
In bed, you feel so far apart
Why are you crying, you don't know where to start
Cause you're reliving, living, living, living
Her memories through your heart
Now you're cutting off your friends
Cutting off the threads of what you knew
So now there's nothing in your head
But nothing in your head is nothing new
So lay low, whisper don't shout
She won't see you, let yourself out
But oh no, you fell, you fell
You thought that her body was a wishing well
Remember how Bill Murray woke up to I Got You Babe every day in Groundhog Day? If that song would have been Made Of Moods, he at the very least experienced three and a half perfect minutes each day. It’s one of those songs that I enjoy each and every second of, with it’s jangly guitars and hushed vocals that almost have a Beach Boys vibe, especially in the verse. Truly, it’s a song for the ages. But the best news about Still Life is that it offers eleven additional underground pop gems. Niek || Add To Wantlist
This is absolutely beautiful! I am so happy the Under the Bridge releases led me down this road. It's unexpectedly spacious and just makes me happy! It's very hard to pick a favorite and I will not be skipping tracks as I play through this repeatedly. zq9mare1
